Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her condolences regarding the Iranian helicopter crash that carried the Iranian president, foreign minister, and their entourage. In a signed letter addressed to Mohammad Mokhber, the first vice president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, she wrote: “I am deeply shocked and saddened to hear about the tragic demise of President Dr. Sayed Ebrahim Raysi, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Hossein Amir Abdollahian, and members of the entourage in the helicopter accident.” Sheikh Hasina added, “In this time of grief, on behalf of the Government of Bangladesh and myself, I convey our deepest condolences to the government and the brotherly people of Iran.”
